Do not touch the emergency button

Kylie an Austin in August 2006, Happy Birthday Kylie!!!

Austin and Kylie in August 2006, today she turns two!!!

Today was the final chapter of radiation for Austin's eye. So far all looks good except for the poor kids eye lid. It looks like someone beat him up. He doesn't complain about it though. Today they gave me special cream to put on all areas that get radiation. So far his counts look good. Platelets on Wednesday were 58 so we possibly will need transfusion tomorrow. We are expecting it so we left a big gap between Patel's visit and radiation tomorrow. It will be hard with him being NPO because when he wakes up from the benadryl nap he is always very thirsty. So we are praying for a good day tomorrow. We will do what we need to do. Radiation should move faster now that we only have to do the arm and the leg and there will be no more mask to put on. YEAH!! Everything is still on schedule so far.

Ok, the emergency button. Here is the story. There is a red lighted button that says Emergency on the table where Austin gets radiation. A few days ago the tech told us that when the button is pushed it shuts everything down and delays everything for like 11 minutes. Well guess who pushed the button today? He was too fast for me to catch him before he did it. Luckily we were waiting on the anaesthesiologist so we had time. Oh boy would he have been in trouble if we didn't have time. Silly boy.

Well we go to Patel's tomorrow at 9 and then big gap in case platelets are needed and don't have to be over at CTRC until 12:45. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KYLIE!!!!!! She turned two today.

Elizabeth
