Ready to try another scan

Hey,

Well today is somewhat better than yesterday. I am still drained from yesterday. Austin went to bed last night at 9:30pm, woke up a couple times during the night, and then again at 5 am to drink his milk. Then he slept in until a little after 9 am. We didn't do much today other than go over to the CTRC clinic to pick up the oral contrast for tomorrow and over to Dr. Patel's office to get accessed and run blood counts. Dr. Patel himself accessed Austin and had trouble. So he put a medicine through his port to clean it out and we sat in the office waiting for it to kick in. It didn't bother Austin he just drifted off to sleep. After about a half hour they checked it and it worked. His counts looked good, his blood level is still a little low. We go back Monday for recheck.

We came home and Austin was acting fussy again. Dr. Patel and I both saw two teeth trying to come in so we know that is part of the problem. Well he spiked a 102 fever. I can't give him a bath since he is accessed and I kept trying to give him milk and he didn't want it. So I called Dr. Patel. He said it probably is him teething and the port issue. Give him tylenol and motrin and again in four hours. Hopefully this will work.

I have to give him more meds right before midnight since he is NPO for procedure and then get him up at 5:15 am to give him oral contrast. We are to get to CTRC at 7:15 am and be in the scan room at 7:30 am. Keep your fingers crossed that everything goes well!

Well I am off to bed. I will update tomorrow.
