Come join us for a balloon release in honor of Christi!

My friend Jennifer and I are putting together a local balloon release for this saturday. Here is the copy of the email Jennifer has sent out to get publicity on the event and we hope that everyone can join us!

To whom it may concern:

First of all, we are trying to contact you all to help
us spread the word about a local event we are getting
together. We are the Austin Akin Team and our little
boy, Austin Akin, who resides in northwest San Antonio
is fighting a battle against Neuroblastoma, a
dangerous and life threatening childhood cancer. We
are planning a local balloon release to honor the
following:

1. September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month
2. Christi Thomas, a 9 year old girl who just lost her
battle to Neuroblastoma this week and they have asked
everyone following her story to release balloons at
10am on Saturday to coincide with the release at her
funeral mass in Ohio.
3. To help raise awareness about this nasty beast
that claims the life of many innocent children.

The event details:

When: Saturday, September 23 at 10am
Where: MacArthur Park -- San Antonio, TX
What: Pink and White Balloon release (some balloons
will be provided at the park, please bring extra if
possible, the more the merrier)
